Our musicians represent a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Many are former participants in All-District, All-State and collegiate bands who now serve the community through music while continuing their personal artistic growth. WSW provides a valuable opportunity for adult musicians to remain engaged with their craft in a collaborative and supportive environment. 

WSW's commitment to community outreach includes masterclasses, open rehearsals, and guest artist visits to local schools We actively seek to bridge the gap between aspiring young musicians and seasoned professionals. We feature guest artists from around the world, offering invaluable experiences that would otherwise require extensive travel.

In May, the WSW Flute Choir was honored to perform at the meet and greet preceding the 2026 Leaders in Service Awards, hosted by the Wilmington Rotary Club. The Leaders in Service Awards celebrate outstanding executives whose leadership and service have helped their organizations make meaningful contributions to improving our community and the world. WSW was also deeply grateful to receive a generous donation from the Wilmington Rotary Club in support of our mission and programs.
